Sector 9 Fraction Longboard

The Sector 9 Fraction is more than just an amazing carver it's going to be your new best friend. With it's drop thru and flush mount technology this board sets you low to the ground for ridiculously easy pushing while still maintaining a HUGE turn radius.

Nothing will quite feel like a Sector 9 Fraction whipping back and forth with ease underneath the soles of some new shoes. Sector 9 built this board solely for sidewinder trucks and when you ride it, going back to a normal rkp for cruising may just be a thing of the past.

Sector 9 Drifter

The Sector 9 Drifter funny enough is more of a cruiser and carver than a so called drifter, however sliding cambered boards can be pretty fun and is highly recommended for low speed freeriding. The Amazing thing about cambered molds is how responsive and alive they feel beneath your feet when riding, if you haven't experienced one yet, then you don't know what you're missing out on.

Whether you're looking for a cruiser to get back and forth from school, work, or the market. Or just something to break from the norm and go slash some bike trails in your local area then look no further than the Drifter if you want a true carving experience.

The Sector 9 Seeker

The Sector 9 Seeker is the ultimate carving/freestyle board that comes complete with two fully functional kicktails and a lively snappy camber for pumping into and out of carves and slides. The Seeker is truly great for anyone that needs a cruiser but wants to have some fun along the way.

The Seeker has 4 recommended setups ranging from beginner to advanced or in our own words STOKED! As you can imagine all of these recommended setups vary in price as they get more advanced, but just because it costs less doesn't mean you're getting a bad deal, often times people get the beginner package and are extremely pleased with what they get. And if you don't like what we have up you're always more than free to customize it to your liking.

Sector 9 Carbon flight

The Sector 9 Carbon flight is a great addition to anyone's downhill collection, or if you don't have one yet then why not have this be your first? With 2 plies of fiberglass and 5 layers of extra durable maple this board is made speed stiff, however the fiberglass works as an excellent dampener for road vibration.

The Sector 9 Carbon flight has a perfect concave that cups your feet on both sides for extra leverage when in your stance or sliding. The top mounted design gives you extra control over your trucks and a better feeling of the return point in a slide. Overall the Carbon flight won't do you wrong if you're an adrenaline junky, or have a love for freeriding.

Sector 9 Slingshot Review

The Sector 9 slingshot is a true textbook definition of what a freeriding board should be, it's symmetrical for ease of direction, and not having to shift your weight all funky like when pulling 180's. It has a camber, but it stiff so essentially what you have is 2 little platforms on the opposite side of a valley to sink your feet into.

We have a couple of recommended setups for the slingshot on our site that are sure to pertain to any of your needs for the level you decide to buy it at. Remember no matter who you are, the beginner suggestion we have isn't just for beginners we threw it up there as a more bang for your buck type deal. But the further down the list you go the quality of parts increase making for a ride you're  sure to get stoked on!

The Sector 9 Striker

The Sector 9 Striker Longboard is a textbook college cruiser. While it could be a little smaller, the Sidewinder trucks create a turn radius so sharp it may as well just be called a sidewalk surfer. The Striker also comes complete with a camber for pumping into and out of turns and keeping to the boards true nature of responsiveness.

A nice touch to the Striker is the fact that they made it with the drop through mounting keeping you a little lower to the ground for easier pushing and making the otherwise squirrely double kingpin trucks a little easier to handle (however the option to top mount it is always available with some tinkering). Throw all of that together with a little kicktail for some clutch situations with curbs or just for busting some manuals for the hell of it and you have yourself a spunky little cruiser.

Sector 9 Sentinel

The Sector 9 Sentinel is not just your ordinary sidewinder board, due to it being quite larger than most. Meaning it can take some downhill carving without bucking you or giving you the wiggles. That being said Setting foot on the Sentinel may be some of the most fun you will have ever had.

Equipped with Gullwing sidewinders, I would recommend a square lipped 70mm wheel for the extra grip if you plan on taking it down hills or rounding any sharp corners. Also, playing around with bushing combinations on the sidewinders can be really fun especially if you're really picky about how your board rides like myself, I suggest a dual cone combo for just riding around town or a barrel/cone combo if you play on riding downhill. If you do this remember to buy 2 sets for each truck! And last but not least don't forget to throw some BON Abec 7's and get to pushin'!

Sector 9 Chamber Longboard

The Sector 9 Chamber stays a little more true to it's roots being smaller and having a sharper turn radius (Say goodbye to having to use your kicktail around corners). What it lacks in being able to handle high speeds it makes up for in being able to weave around traffic and carve up your local bowl. This is the ultimate cruiser.

Boards like the Chamber used to have a problem with wheelbiting due to it's dropped through high turning radius trucks but since they're now flush mounted and have deeper wheel wells wheelbite has become nearly nonexistent unless you run your trucks so lose the bolts don't touch the bushings. Overall the Chamber is the perfect match for anyone looking for some fun getting from point A to point B and making the most of any flat terrain.

Sector 9 Mini Daisy

The Sector 9 Mini Daisy coming in heavy with an 8 ply of sturdy maple and a rockered mold makes it a downhill riders dream. At 37.5" it's not as big as a lot of other downhill rides, however a smaller wheelbase makes for a more nimble and responsive ride. While it's true this would be more of an advanced setup for downhill riders, it's more than worth taking the time to get used to it as a beginner.

From a technical standpoint with it being much more responsive and making you feel a lot more in control of your ride doesn't necessarily mean that it's harder in fact from a personal perspective I feel they're a lot more fun. The difference is almost a lot like driving an automatic compared to a stickshift, a longer wheelbase can sometimes feel like you're in a bubble but a shorter wheelbase has you feel in control of every transition, and the Mini Daisy will give you just that, swiftness and control.

Sector 9 Mini Shaka

As far as great freeride boards go the Super Shaka was already tough to compete with. But now with it's new and approved baby brother out you'd see how much of a difference 2" of board length and some deeper slightly rockered concave can make. The only problem with it's older sibling being that it was a little long and unwieldy but The Sector 9 Mini Shaka finally perfected the sweet science.

They didn't stop there with the Sector 9 Mini Shaka either, they equipped it with two good sized kicktails for any possible combination of tricks you can imagine.  The new wheelbase length (being shed 2 or 3 inches) makes it 100 times easier to throw out any kind of slide you want, especially with the lowered center of gravity due to the rockered concave. Overall the new rendition of the Super Shaka is much more worthy of the name 'super'.

Sector 9 Faultline

The Sector 9 Fault Line is the perfect choice for any speed demon or downhill riders new or old. The dropped down platform makes it perfect for locking in your feet when flying down your local hill or keeping you from slipping off when getting sideways. The 29" wheelbase is amazing medium making sure you can hold through the corners when it gets sketchy or bust out a fat backside whenever you please.

The Sector 9 Fault Line comes together perfectly with Caliber 50 degree trucks, Any 70mm rounded wheel if you want it for free riding or a square lipped wheel if you want it solely for gripping corners. The best bang for your buck would be the BON abec 7's but for the true hill slayers out there I highly recommend getting some Nordik or Swiss 6 ceramics.

Sector 9 Dropper

For all of you Jarrito and Kraken fighting ship lovers alike the Sector 9 dropper brings some prime amenities for the freerider on a budget. Most boards that come with a rocker concave for a locked in but not too aggressive feel,  gas pedals for better leverage when sliding, double kicktails for manuals flip tricks and grabs, AND a drop through system can usually run up to $200+ with just a basic setup. But the Sector 9 dropper comes in at just a wee $150 *cough* not to mention $10 off with our code *cough*

The Sector 9 Dropper really has anything a freerider could want seasoned or not, These boards are especially great for those grabbing gifts for someone that either wants to get into skating or already skates because they're just so well rounded that it's going to be hard for the person receiving it to not find a use for it.  All that said, I recommend these setups with Bear or Paris trucks to keep things light for freestyle tricks with rounded 65-70mm wheels for easier sliding and less chance of biting if you keep your board dropped. and Nordik abec 7 bearings to make sure you have the momentum to hold that slide or finish your line.

Sector 9 Lookout Longboard

Whether you're looking out for a perfect cruiser that can blaze down some hills or you need something for a first time rider that wants something cheap and easy to get into the long boarding groove with the Sector 9 Lookout is definitely for you. The Sector 9 lookout is a great beginners board all thanks to its particularly large wheelbase and ease of pushing with it's drop through mounting, which can also easily be top mounted if you want some extra control on the corners. The versatility and added strength to the drop through mounting on the 2014 version makes this board great for those seeking something that's both easy to ride and is going to last you a couple sets of wheels.

Another appealing perk of the Sector 9 Lookout  is that it's made completely out of bamboo which isn't just for looks. The great thing about bamboo is you get something that's better for the environment and can even withstand a little water unlike it's maple counterparts, all without sacrificing the integrity of the board. I would recommend this setup with either randall or paris trucks and some squared 65-70mm wheels for a little more grip when going downhill with bearings of your choice.
